Settling for something less….

I am intrigue by this one article in monday morning motivation about wiser choice. Which is wiser

A) the one who Settle for the "lesser of two evils" the "best of the bad lot" because it is not as bad as the other options or
B) someone who stick up for what’s right and making the best -even if it takes a little bit of work..

Ideally It had to be (B). But life is not ideal and sometimes we have to deal with (A). Does that makes people less wiser?

After years of dealing with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) examination that forces us to pick only A or B …we should realize by now that it is not applicable in real life. As there is always grey besides black and white, there is always C in the above MCQ and we can always choose not to choose anything in the examination…right?

Mcq

Wrong!… black is clear while white also very clear- what about Grey?- we have many shades of grey - darker shades means lots of black while lighter shades means more of white…can you choose the shades of grey that you want? OF COURSE

It is not about the thing that you choose (although it is important) but rather how you make the decision and the subsequences of your decision that makes a different.  Wiser choice means you believe in some values and principle and stick to it while making decision..in fashion follow the crowd in principle- stood like rock.

…decide but don’t compromise your principle…Choosing the lesser of two evils does not change the fact that it is still evil- but if you believe that there must be so much good in the worst of us and so much bad in the best of us you will give it a benefit of a doubt and make a choice. Whether it is wise or not -it’s not other people who can judge you. You just know that you have made a wise decision because you made it and you live with it.. as simple as that.

What do you think.  Wise or unwise who decide?

Personally, being wise or unwise is merely the parallel aftermath of the decision, one has made, from the eyes of oneself or outsiders.

The bottom line is that at the minute of must-making decision making, one is forced by a situation or whatever circumstances in order to choose the BEST gray shade for him at a time.

During the process of deciding, the words ‘wise’ and ‘unwise’ might spot in one’s mind.

One: [think] Is it the wise choice?

One: [sigh] I don’t know. The only thing I know is that not to choose any choice is bloody unwise!!!
